Notarial acts require that the signer be aware, willing, and free from undue influence at the time of signing. If there are any questions about a signer's capacity or awareness, we recommend consulting with the facility's care team and, if appropriate, a licensed attorney prior to scheduling.
We are not able to make capacity determinations — this is outside the scope of notarial service. Please have valid government-issued identification ready for the signer. If ID is unavailable due to facility or health circumstances, contact us in advance so we can plan accordingly.
